Horse property in Reno is easily found and affordable. My specialty is horse property. The areas I specialize in are Rancho Haven, Red Rock Estates, Silver Knolls, and Washoe Valley. All great areas for the horse lover with most lots 10 or more acres and many backing up to BLM land.

My wife and I purchased our home in Rancho Haven, which is at the north end of Red Rock Road and 34 miles from downtown Reno off of US 395. All of the property in Rancho Haven is ten acres or more and most back up to BLM land or greenbelt. Rancho Haven sits in a valley with mountains on both sides. There is greenbelt running right through the middle of the valley. We don't even use our horse trailer anymore, as riding out your back door is always a possibility. Horses will need to be fed hay year round and it is about $200 a ton delivered. We even have our own equine vet living out here. If you like horses, then Rancho Haven is a great place to live. Even if you don't have horses, you will still enjoy the serenity, stars at night, wildlife, and quietness, all while enjoying having the city 35 minutes away.

Red Rock Estates, Antelope Valley, Silver Knolls, Washoe Valley, Lemmon & Golden Valley, Spanish Springs and Palomino Valley all offer the same things as Rancho Haven.
